I struggled for two years with the worst case of the putting yips. Hank has two systems. Fix it mentally or fix it physically. By drastically changing my grip and taking my right hand out of the putt I am no longer yipping. It is a great book with lots of ideas and empathy for the dreaded yip disease that can be cured.

Overly long for the advice given. Nothing new here. i knew Hank will do anything for another dollar but I hoped there would something here for chipping yips. Nope!

Great book. I got a lot out of it and have improved my chipping quite a bit based on some of the info and pratise ideas from the book.

I was in fact part of the Mayo Clinic's official analysis of the yips malady known, medically, as focal dystonia. I would say, to be fair, that I know at least as much as Hank Haney about this disorder, and I have in fact spoken with Hank, who was very nice in doing so, as together we were collaborating to try to help Shaquille O'Neal with his free throw yips. That is indeed what Shaq had/has. Wilt Chamberlain had them, too, and got around them by shooting free throws underhand.Anyway, I bought Hank's book and it was remarkably unhelpful. Not sure why. It is as if Hank decided to do a halfway job on the book. It is long on explanation and incredibly short on fixes, despite the title of the book.I am working on a book addressing the latter, which would be unnecessary if Hank's book had lived up to the title.Jack Thompson, Miami

I am subtracting one star because Hank admits in the book there is no forever fix and it's a matter of controlling them so the title is kind of misleading. However, Hank packs the book full of useful information including how to diagnose your yips and how to do drills that help you reduce and control the yips. I liked how he contrasted the quick fixes (switching grips, moving to left-hand, a belly/long putter) to using drills to control the yips. So far I've done a few of his drills and they make sense. Changing grips worked as a quick fix, but he's right that you have to relearn distance control. As an amateur playing only a dozen times a year, I may just stick with his quick fixes, but I will try to do his drills as well and post back if that fixes my yips.I'm just glad I've found some solutions that will not make me so scared next time I have a 2-3 foot putt for par or birdie.

Hank Haney coached Tiger Woods in 2008. His credentials are extensive. When an expert writes about a common anomaly as the Yips, one should really listen to him.Haney covers everything from the full swing, short game (chips) and putting yips. He shows methods of how to swing the club and how to cope with the yips. I read this book primarily for information, as a beginner and a golf scholar (having already read dozens of golf books). He advocates the arc type of putting stroke over the straight back-straight through stroke.The text is easy to follow and the author cites clinical research behind the phenomenon of the yips. The book is well illustrated with sharp full color photographs.Overall, Haney's advice is solid. I highly recommend this book (even if you don't have the yips).

The review by Fernando L. Sosa "periososa" was both unfair and inaccurate. This book is both interesting and helpful. It begins with a history and explanation of the yips and then differentiates between ordinary mechanical setup problems and true nervous yips. This is the only book to my knowledge that goes beyond a simple paragraph or page explanation in other books. I started golf forty years ago with horrible driver yips which took me thirty years to manage. Then, I developed chipping and putting yips. This book has been a great help identifying and offering typical approaches to manage your yips. I switched to a belly putter and a cross-handed grip and now I only have a rare twitch at contact with the ball that drives the ball to the left. I have a feeling that the critical reviewer wanted a simple, one paragraph, permanent solution to his problem. As sport psychologists and philosophers suggest, the answer lies within you; you already have the cure. Hank Haney gives you the insight and techniques to help you help yourself.

This story had three things going for it before I even cracked it open. The cover, the title, and the blurb. The cover speaks for itself, the title couldn’t have been more fitting, and the plot did not disappoint.This story is told in third person and completely from Aurora’s point-of-view, and what a trip she took me on! Earth is far from clean and green and her lungs are suffering. When Aurora stows away on a space-ship in the hopes of finding a new home and a lover, she gets so much more than she bargained for.The journey was so vividly described I felt like I was thrust into space right alongside her. My heart was in my throat when the Xyphan’s tried to attack the ship and worse when Aurora, through her own folly, ends up on a strange planet and taken by a particularly nasty Xyphan.There are a few side-characters who added depth to the story. Then there’s the huge issue of the fact security has been breached on certain planets, and at the end of the day, Aurora was an illegal alien (as odd as that is to say), a stowaway who gained access to the Alphan’s home through dodgy means. How that would play out was anyone’s guess, mine included.For most of this story, I feared what her fate would be, but it wasn’t all doom and gloom, especially not when she unwittingly came upon Ciro and Luc intimately engaged. The two men/Aliens were equally well fleshed out characters. The sex between the two, and then three, was smoking hot. However, what really worked for me was the intimacy between them all. Within a short span of time, it was clear these two warriors would always put their woman first.In summary, this is a fabulous story that gripped me from the start and didn’t let up until the very end. I highly recommend Reckless to all and sundry.

I LOVED this standalone erotic sci-fi romance by Lily Harlem. The read contains a woman fleeing Earth to save her life and two hot blooded Alphans who are hell bent on making her theirs, even if she is an illegal alien! The read contains some scorching scenes of ménage, voyeurism, self-pleasure and more.Aurora Zenith is desperate, desperate to escape the pollution on Earth that is slowly but surely killing her. When she gets a chance to escape and make a new life for herself on a far flung planet she decides to throw caution to the wind and jumps at it. Yet stowing away on an alien ship bound for Planet Alpha is not a safe option, especially when she is travelling with false papers and she has already attracted the attention of the ship's captain... I was on pins waiting to see what would happen when the ship reaches its destination and her deception is discovered. Will she be punished and returned to Earth or can this illegal alien somehow make a future for herself? The stakes are high and the sex is off the Richter scale in his sizzling ménage by Lily Harlem.Without a plan Aurora is compelled towards more and more reckless actions  and it is not long before she finds herself reunited with the handsome ship's pilot Captain Ciro and his sexy co-pilot and lover Luc. There are some smokin' hot scenes where Aurora is the lucky recipient of some alien loving! Be sure to have plenty of iced drinks on hand as the read hits the spot again and again!I was rooting for Aurora from the off as she really has no choice to act in such a reckless fashion - escape Earth or die a slow and painful death. Captain Ciro is a loving dominant and Luc is equally dedicated to protecting and worshipping the lucky Aurora. The novel has plenty of danger and suspense as their future together is under threat from a number of sources and this added to my overall enjoyment.Recommended for lovers of hot aliens, erotic romance and ménage.Please note a copy of the book was given to me by the author for the purpose of a fair and honest review.

Another cracker of a MMF story from Lily.Staying on Earth is slowly killing Aurora. The planet is dying and salvation is a lottery to leave Earth for Planet Alpha. There the women of earth are able to flourish, with clean air.A work colleague, sensing a way for Aurora to leave, doesn't give her much time to think and she soon finds herself a stowaway on a rocket to a new world, a new life.Luc and Ciro are two Alphans looking for something to complete their life together - one they see Aurora they just have to make her theirsOn the run from the authorities Aurora is desperate but she doesn't want to go back to Earth. Will she be treated with sympathy when the authorities find her?Copy gifted.

I'm not sure if it was meant to be, but this was funny and corny - the chemistry between Aurora, Luc and Ciro was definitely there, and the scenes with them together were hot. What was funny was the Xyran dialogue - it was very much B-grade "bad guy" movie dialogue - totally overconfident and thinking he was invulnerable, oversharing what he was going to do, the language crash to show the extreme and elicit fear in the victim. I couldn't help but have a giggle.I did like how Aurora, Luc and Ciro's story played out, and would read more if it included them.

I wasn't sure how I felt about an alien romance book... I found myself disappointed when the book was over.This book was wonderful, the MC stows away to make a new life on Planet Alpha. She must find a male to claim her as his mate before she is caught and punished for sneaking on.
