In love...and war is an amazing collection of poetry and recollection by a group of American veterans. It is powerful and visceral, raw and beautiful, thought and emotion provoking. It is both difficult to read and impossible to put down. I have such admiration for these people who had both courage in the face of the sometimes unimaginable and the courage to share their thoughts and memories for those of us who never walked in their boots. There are so many stories hidden between the lines.

A powerful and poetic telling of truths that should not be ignored. These poet warriors allow us a glimpse into the collective soul of those brothers and sisters in arms who have been to hell and back. Their experiences are worth reading and heeding — these poets use the art of words to wrestle with life, death, love, and war.

This book is a phenomenal look inside the hearts and minds of my generation. It's the good, the bad and the ugly. In recent years the ugly gets omitted for the sake of book sales.Not these cats.I'm proud to have a friendship with many of the Veteran authors within these pages. There's so much I want to say about this book, but I found it hard to put into words. Maybe one day us wives and those who've loved you through these pages will finally write 'All's fair In Love & War' and those words won't be so hard to express. Until then I do have to say that it's everything people have been saying about it. It's "visceral" "hard to read but impossible to put down" and an absolutely amazing collection of work not only by poet warriors but amazing WRITERS! I found David Rose, Cokie and Leo Jenkins to be especially transcendent. Dead Reckoning and all that have contributed to these pages should be very proud of this book!

This is an amazing collection of veteran poetry that gives insight into the GWOT generation in their own voices. I highly recommend this book!

The organization and flow of the book is fantastic, allowing the reader to follow the journey of the authors and so many other like-minded warriors. From growing up with fantastical ideas of glory, to waking up to the grim realities of war, to coming home with changed perspectives of the world, In Love... &War is visceral, masterful, and bloody wonderful. Mixed amongst the poems are occasional illustrations, all unique in their own right and adding impact to their adjacent words. The styles are mixed, but the theme is consistent: these are the warrior stories that need to be told.

This book is great. It provides a background to the dancing industry which is great for beginners who have never been to a strip club and dont know the components. There is a chapter that covers clothing and time management which i found helpful. The book has several chapters and everyone of them provide detailed information so that when you head to work the first day, you are prepared and have the knowledge to be successful.

This book is absolutely stunning. It comes with a book cover, which is seen in the main photo as well as the gallery, that ends with a diagonally-slanted flap which reveals the actual cover of the book (the white background, gold letters). The book feels sturdy and durable while still retaining a sense of high quality. It is obvious that this book was meticulously crafted. From the feel of the pages to it's textured cover, this book represents everything Louis Vuitton stands for. The book contains text about Louis Vuitton's life and the progression of the company from a small boutique to the internationally-acclaimed fashion house it is today. The Louis Vuitton portion of the book also includes photos of early Louis Vuitton projects and commentary on the fashion at that time. The Marc Jacobs section of the book, however, elaborates on the era of experimentation on products brought on by Jacob's direction, rather than focusing to much on the company itself. Overall, this book is incredible and the photos are extremely glamourous. This book is definitely a "must buy" for any fashion lover, like myself, or anybody who appreciates photography. One thing I will say, though, is that the preview for this book is somewhat misleading, as there are much more photographs in the book than presented in the preview.

This is a nicely produced book focusing on the contributions of both Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs to the world of fashion.The book is divided into two sections, the first is devoted to the history of Louis Vuitton and its rise as a powerful label. The text is enhanced by several clear b&w photographs,rare archival materials, and some period advertisements.The second section focuses on the reign of Marc Jacobs, his creations and artistic collaborations. This section is mostly pictorial. The fashion shoots are clear, large and colorful, and they present a selection of Jacobs' creations and campaigns since he took the helm at Louis Vuitton.The book ends with a small section reproducing a selection of small photos highlighting the label's recent ad campaigns and fashion shows.The overall quality of the book is beautiful and it is a recommended addition to any fashion collection.

The picture is slightly deceiving as far as the color goes. The cover is gold, but more of a bronze compared to the picture.

Book clearly outlines history and evolution of Louis Vuitton company, products and family organization. It revealed facts I was not aware of such as how a fourteen year old young man, who could not read or write, invented a way to transport clothes for travelers in the 1800's and became a global business success. A remarkable story. The photos offer a view of a number of trunks and the quality of craftsmanship that led to their fame. The images demonstrate how the travel items were coded in a manner to signal to porters as to which traveler's bags to spot and carry. The coded images also created one of the most famous logos in the world. It makes a global enterprise seem more personal and allows one, surprisingly, to see that the snooty luxury trade stereotype does not always fit. A good discovery and read.
