Very practical tips that I will share with friends and colleagues. It's very helpful to have the insight of a psychologist in terms of the behavioral aspects of how children respond to food. I have found this answers a lot of the most commonly asked questions I receive in my pediatric gastroenterology practice, and have already recommended the book to 4 friends! I think it's a really valuable book for first-time parents, and love that it uses "real food" solutions that are smart, easy, and delicious!

Lots of great information. There are only a couple of recipes for each age group, and I would have liked to see more options but my baby has enjoyed the food I have made her using these recipes.

The material in this book is worth gold. I’m so glad I bought it. As a mom of 2 I just wish I had to more time to read.

I was drawn in more by the premise. I also found that it lived up to it in various ways.In addition to covering various topics discussed on the back flap and giving recipes, the author even dispelled a few myths. On the other hand, I noticed some things she could’ve brushed up on for the section of GMOs. The first is how a theory is used. In everyday context, it’s just a smart way of saying guess. In science, however, it must be backed up. (Shouldn’t she know that, if she has a Phd? Oh, wait a minute! There’s a good chance you can have one, and not deserve it.) Also, she should’ve brushed up on GMO history. The last time I checked, we’ve been researching those since the 70s. If we’ve been doing that maybe almost 50 years now, and we’ve had few serious incidents, maybe there is little to no reason to treat them as though they’ll make you grow another head?On a similar note, I have to bring up the organic section, too. Even though I found no issue with her recommendations, I thought there was some parroting going on. That was due to her claiming no pesticides are used, even though it’s been proven that’s not the case. It’s also been proven that those are more dangerous than synthetic pesticides because, the latter have supposed to have gotten safer. In fact, I read a comment about a farm in Mexico that grows the “organic” produce right next to the non-organic. (Before you write that off, keep in mind that we have food labels that can double as buzzwords, depending on the situation.)However, my criticisms don't stop there. This was quite reasonable for the most part until the section on social eating. Don’t get me wrong. It started out sensible until it got to the fifth tip. Let your baby misbehave in a restaurant?Okay, just don’t go crying when you get banned since, believe it or not, some people are intolerant are kids. All that said, this guide contains a lot of good advice. However, there’s one part I’d be hesitant in following. Then again, I’m not for ruining someone else’s experience for a petty reason. I also can’t be surprised because, it’s been my personal experience, parents will let their little one run(s) amok. Yet clutch their pearls when someone says they hate children.

For us feeding our baby the best possiable foods for his growth and development is important. This book always us easy to follow and informative recipes and explanations, on feeding our baby with optimum nutrition. Well written and helpful. I recommend this book, for those that are intrested in healthy nutritional options for the development of their baby.

Loved the month by month guide and recipes. In particular, the information about key nutrients for babies which was clearly explained and easy to understand. A great resource for first time parents and those wanting to get their little ones on a healthier diet.

An easy-to-understand and easy-to-implement book regarding feeding little ones - even picky ones! Highly recommend, and we think the fact that it is written by a doctor and a Mom comes across clearly.

A well-written, fun and informative book, by an expert with excellent credentials. Highly recommended.
